There is a common misconception regarding Freehold. There are actually two separate towns, Freehold Boro and Freehold Township. Freehold Boro is the old historic towns, with many homes that are over 100 years old, and quite a few that are 200 or more years old. There is a thriving downtown in Freehold Boro, with restaurants and downtown style shopping. There are also planned activites in the town square, such as concerts during the summer evenings, among others. Freehold Township is more of a residential community. However there is plenty of shopping and plenty of restaurants on the Route 9 corridor. Click the links below to learn more about Freehold.
